Frequently asked questions

How do I install Privizee?

Sign in to Privizee from the homepage, then select the organisation you want to connect and open Settings → Integrations. Slack uses OAuth. Microsoft Teams uses an administrator connection code after the app is installed. Installation and connection require the relevant platform and Privizee permissions.

What permissions does Privizee request and why?

Privizee requests only the platform permissions needed for direct interactions, mentions, subscribed follow-ups, files you submit, and configured notifications. It does not bulk export, continuously monitor, or use unrelated workspace history.

How is my data handled?

Messages sent to Privizee are processed to generate responses and are only stored when you explicitly save workflow outputs, such as DPIA reports. We do not use Slack data to train AI models. This applies to Slack and Microsoft Teams data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I use chat commands?

In Slack, use /privizee [question], /privizee-new, or /privizee-interview [type] [@user]. In Microsoft Teams, use the same command names without the leading slash, or type help to see the supported commands.

Which languages does Privizee support?

English is currently the only supported product and support language. You can submit records or documents containing other languages, but the interface, generated output, and support experience are not guaranteed to be translated. Coverage of regulations across multiple jurisdictions does not imply a multilingual interface.

How do I uninstall Privizee?

In Slack or Microsoft Teams, remove Privizee from the platform's app management page. Organisation admins can also disconnect an integration in Privizee Settings → Integrations. Credentials and saved workflow records are handled according to the retention terms in your agreement and Privacy Policy.
